Purpose

The objective is to guarantee the delivery of agreed functionality, quality, capacity, Cycle time and safety in LKN projects.

Ensure shortest possible installation time, commissioning, utilization of process equipment, floor area and operators for the process solutions that LKN delivers to the customers.

The process refers to the manufacturing processes integrated in the LKN delivery. Most common are Spot Weld, ARC weld, Sealing, Bonding, Riveting, Nut/Stud Welding etc. The process is studied individually in detail as well as a whole, meaning a complete station and line. Flow simulation of the entire system can also be used to ensure all demands such as cycle time, quality, utilization of equipment and manning are fulfilled.

The Process group are also involved at an early phase during discussions with the customers to present solutions according to the customers demands. Also, the suggestions are verified to fulfil the customer demands already at this stage.

 Method

By using the latest digital technology within CAD and Simulation software's ensure correct process quality, geometry & access, cycle time calculations and safety.

The processes are completely simulated in software's such as:

- Process Simulate

- Robot studio

- Delmia

- Visual Components

The process group work in close collaboration with the design department, Power and control supplier, sub supplier of equipment and installation personal. During the design phase there are continuously iterations between the process group, design department, control designers and end customer.

The deliveries from the process group are among other, 2D and 3D layouts, Cycle time charts, access simulation, installation documents, safety analysists and OPL robot programs.
